I have a wealth of construction experience with over 23 years in direct Wireless Telecom.  In this tenure, I have completed 900+ monopoles/monopalms, 300+ lattice towers, 900+ collocates on 3^rd party towers and over 2000 upgrades and modifications on rooftop cellsites.  I’ve recently completed 450+site complete power upgrades for LTE project in San Francisco.

 

Together with strong wireless telecom construction; complemented with DC and AC power experience, I have been responsible and accountable for projects in the 12-18 million dollar range: At any one time managing 8 GC’s and crews.  I am thoroughly conversant with wireless technologies: be it digital cell, spread spectrum transmissions, WAP, WLAN, DAS and network build-outs.  I have gained valuable expertise in CDMA, TDMA, DSL/ and Sonet platforms

09/25/2012-12/22/2012 ATT MOBILITY/TEKsystem Los Angeles market.  Construction Project Manager. Reason for leaving: Project ended.

 

·                     Insure that Turf vendors coordinate with Telco PMs for timely delivery of ETTCS service.

·                     Coordinate with Ericsson for integration schedule. 

·                     Coordinate with AT&T Construction PMs for quality walks and site completions.  Insure that turf vendors have all equipment installed as required on RFDS

·                     Coordinate e911 schedule for new site turn up.

·                       Resolve all construction issues with turf vendors as needed to turn sites on air on schedule.

·                     Manage construction for site relocation projects similar to new site builds.

 

06/10/2012-7/30/2012 ALU/LEAPFROG/Kineticom San Diego Construction Manager.

 

· Managed construction progression from A&E to close out documentation.

· Responsible for deliverables and related activities according to Alcatel-Lucent specific Leapfrog protocols.

· Coordinated bid walks, BOM’s, the bids themselves, and archiving all construction documentations.

· Scheduling of contractors.

· Developing punchlists after inspections. Working with A&E on site audits. Reviewing structural, surveys, zoning, CD’s and sweep testing.

01/18/2011-10/14/2011  Ericsson LTE Project/DC Powerplant, NorCal ATT Market San Francisco/Bay Area                                       Construction Manager

 

· Design site specific complete DC Power Upgrade prior to LTE installation.  Included were new rectifier, new conductors, and suspensions…all to ATT’s spec. Designed 423 cellsites.

 

· Battery upgrades and all corresponding reporting matrix.

 

· Running diagnostics on rectifier and battery supply and signaling routers. Working with ‘legacy groups’ on ATT’s side to insure timely integration of components.

 

· Developed M.O.P.’s for ATT’s network interface with new component integration.  Continued to work on most of the C.O.’s in this market.

 

· Conducted bid walks with vendors and contractors.  Reviewed and instructed on the job’s parameters and the close out package demands. All reporting matrix was discussed and maintained for each installation.

 

· Maintained an inspection schedule of completed sites and reported rework needed to deliver spec requirements.  Assisted contractors on their delivery of close-out packages.  Instructed vendors on LTE design parameters and expected installation requirements. Heavy emphasis on diagnostics, troubleshooting and testing; in particular PIM testing. Knowledge and work experience with LTE/EPC architecture.

 

· Sizing and commissioning of repeater systems, as well as introductory work on DAS integration

 

06/2008 – 09/2010 ATT MOBILITY/VINCULUMS Los Angeles market. Interconnect/ Transport Engineer.

 

· Designed over 500 Copper and Fiber installations for t- 1/backhaul reinforcement.  This included all LEC walks and the accompanying documentation required for completion.

· Acted on a temporary basis as PM for T-1 installations for Mobility.  Learned new software systems for tracking. Responsibilities included site surveys, PowerPoint presentations of interconnect designs, resource meetings with different landline vendors, i.e. ATT Wireless & Verizon, meeting with various landlords to overcome difficulties in construction, as well as navigating the office dynamic of ATT Mobility.

· Working experience with signal routing components and their integration into network.

· Daily uploads to Siterra of work product.

· Preliminary design work and sizing for DAS.  Followed with commissioning and optimization for said Distributed Antenna Systems for hi-rise office buildings.

 

  03/2007-01/2008 FMHC CORP., Newport Beach, CA Construction Manager

 

·Managed modifications in the 4G WiMax build-out for Sprint/Nextel. Included in this work were bid walks and precons, bid oversight, implementation, punch walks and completion of close-out packages.

·Instrumental in this endeavor was the ability to communicate, both written and oral with client, vendors and general contractors

07/2005-12/2006 INTEGRATED INSTALLATIONS INC. Chicago, Austin, Los Angeles and Seattle Consultant/Project Construction Manager

 

·Worked the UMTS channel expansion project for Cingular in the Austin market. Lead INTEGRATED INSTALLATION efforts in the market’s 126 site upgrade

·Coordinated bidding and quality assurance for power upgrades in central offices for SBC in western states.

·Interfaced with ‘legacy groups’ to implement new component additions for the existing network.

 

06/2001-12/2003 BECHTEL TELECOMMUNICATIONS/AT&T Indianapolis    and Los Angeles markets Construction Manager

 

·Worked the AWS 3G project integrating Lucent/Ericsson and Ericsson/Nokia platforms.  The build-out consisted of TDMA and GSM integration and cut-over.

·Assigned lead position in troubleshooting efforts in the final weeks of the Indianapolis build-out. Maintained tight building schedules to insure market launch.

·Worked the Los Angeles market for 2 years, in which time I worked on the GSM close-out, GPS overlay, power upgrades for some 300 sites and the WLAN for all retail ATT stores in metro Los Angeles.

·In that capacity, I had direct supervision over subcontractors and venders.  Responsible for subcontractor’s logistics and quality assurance for 3G and GPS overlays.

·  Responsible too for controlling subcontractor’s costs; reviewing of change orders and working within the project’s budget.

·Coordinated subcontractor’s efforts in scheduling sweep testing and build-out implementation.  This included all ‘close-out’ packages.

·Received several qualification certificates from Andrews and Comscope.

 

01/2001-06/2001   METRICOM    Portland & Seattle market. Consultant/ Regional Construction Manager

 

·   Brought in to finish off construction of wireless transmission facilities in the Richoet project.

·   Reviewed vendors ‘change orders’ and budgeted for future installations.

·   Established a vendors tracking system to help subcontractors maintain building schedules.

·   Redlined construction drawings and routinely did site surveys which enabled me to forecast problems in the build-out effort.

 

01/2000-12/2000 MASTEC WIRELESS/COLO.COM    Memphis, Louisville, Denver, Salt Lake and Detroit Project Manager

 

·   Managed the construction of co-locations/communications infrastructure.

·   Within the network build-out, I established and maintained coordination between RF/A&E/ Const.

·   Provided field specific data to HQ and engineers allowing for revisions to be made while maintaining project’s overall schedule

· Facilitated construction projects, be it overlays to new construction for clients like Metawave, Alltel, Motorola, Sprint and Nortel.

· Position required acquisition of suitable properties, launching the permitting process, construction and construction close-out packages.

· Acted as the company’s liaison between contractors, engineering and clients. Paramount to the job was report writing and communications between all concerned parties.

· Projects under my direct supervision included: front ends in DSL in co-locates, complete build-out of base station infrastructures, system overlays, power upgrades and WLANs in campus environments.

· Learned design parameters and instructed subcontractors in design and testing protocols.

· Collaborate across teams to share information and coordinate on new ideas at the weekly editorial board meetings.
